Why isn't this Oscar-winning actress getting better parts?

This is good news but I hope she gets more serious high-profile parts after this. Surely there must be, or at least should be, plenty of dramatic parts for black women of a certain age.

She is almost 50 and she is Black. What do you expect?? There arent many roles for women in that category.238 Her career went downhill after Catwoman. The film was truly awful. She is lucky to even be working at all after that.

Kidman was getting them for a lot longer post her Oscar-win. Rabbit Hole was only a few years ago, and although it wasn't a success, the recent remake of The Secret in Their Eyes was clearly intended to appeal to more discerning audiences.

How come it's only white Best Actresswhilst black Best Actress winning actresses are reduced to working on TV?
Harvey, do you deliberately choose to start posts on topics where you know you will get some attention and get others to bite? I don't believe you even care and are narcissistic, self-centered and play the devil's advocate and not very well I might add.
Halle Berry is an average acting talent and the year she won her Oscar, was a poor year for contenders. She was lucky to win and it was the year the Oscars were honoring blacks. I am not a fan of Kidman, Lawrence or Blanchett; but it is not difficult to see that they are stronger acting talents than Berry. Now stop pretending to stand up for the rights of minorities, when you are being 2000insincere and self-serving.
