I think the person who looks so much like him is Rob Leibman. The actor who played on Norma Rae. I thought he was him at first. That's how much they look alike. Even talk alike too.

ha ha ha! yes, it's so funny because when i watch tv with my boyfriend we have a running joke because I swear to god that i spot martin landauso he always says, "It's Martin Landau" I think John's got sex appeal though.

Roy Scheider. Just got done watching "Rosemary's Baby". The more I looked at his chin, the more I started thinking of Roy Scheider, and I was soon referring to John as "Chief Brody".

I remember a TV playhouse presentation with the theme of the Alcatraz escape. I thought it "Escape to Nowhere", but it looks like my memory is faulty. I thought the actor was famous, but it might not have been Cassevetes, Gazzara, or Landau. The "screenplay" was very similar to the Clint Eastwood film, but it could be that it was just based on actual events. I have not been able to find this television presentation anywhere. I recall it as CBS Playhouse 90, but it could have been one of the others. Ring any bells with anyone?
