She most certainly was born in 1973.
I am not sure what was said on the show as we dont get it up here in Canada.
Perhaps they were referring to when the show ENDED, which would have been around when she was 16.

If anyone had bothered to read the trivia section:
"Documents in a lawsuit give her date of birth as 1968. The lawsuit was filed by her PR agency for nonpayment. [November 2001]"

1973 is accurate. I was born in 1969, and remember Family Ties well. There is no way that she was 14 in 1982. I realize girls mature at different intervals, but she looked way too young to be 14 in 1982.

Yea thats her correct birth 1973 she was 8 or 9 years old when she started out on Family Tiesthe person that made up this post must be confused with Justine Bateman she was 16 when she played Mallory on the show.
