Technically her husband is gay, but is he?

I got to this thread by chance, but I found it interesting!
I wanted to add that one important point is missing. When a man likes a transgendered woman, he likes all the exaggerated feminine traits of her. When he likes a real woman he has to put up with the bitching, pms, mood swimgs, etc (tell me about it, I AM a woman and very proud of it!).
Men - in their "real" fantasies want to be tended to and pleased, wheather it is by imagining that the woman LOVES nothing more than his d, than giving him a BJ, or than being ultra-passive so he can be the macho guy- or the opposite, being ultra-agressive (like the poster above talking about macho men liking to be penetrated, and specially by trannies, etc). So all these male fantasies revolve around imagining that the other person (man or woman) would be 100% devoted to THEIR pleasure. That is the kind of man that would like an "uber" woman (transexual).
A more "run of the mill" kind of guy will like a real woman, with all her complications, and even her dressing fromphy and non feminine many times ! While I don't doubt that maybe one "real" straight guy could go for a transgendered woman, it may happen and it may be real love on both parts, I do believe that 'most' of the heterosexual man that would think a transg. woman is ok is if they have their own "take" of what a woman is or should be or- as described by poster above- if she is UBER-feminize and attracts LOTS of SEXUAL attention- because they believe she will be attentive to THEIR needs (and maybe, having started as a man gives her more understanding of what a man wants after all!) - How many of the man you describe above look at the transgendered woman and envision giving HER oral sex???? Or really care about HER, as a human being and not a sexual fantasy, which would include REALLY taking in that she started as a man, not pretending that she is a woman and they don't want to think of the rest of the story
just some thoughts -

Candis was a full fledged "woman" when she met himMeaning that she had undergone full gender reassignment. She has no male genitalia, at all.
Now, add to the fact that she looks very much female (she transitioned beautifully. She's gorgeous)I could easily see how he would be attracted to her. What he saw before him was a womannot a man. Candis is not a man. She's a transgendered female.
So, her husband is straight. If Candis still had a penis then that would be questionable.

If you want to be technically about then you are not really femaleWhy? Because your penis is turned outside in. Technically, a vagina is just an inverted penis and vice versa.
All fetuses start off female until a Y chromosome is introduced.
So, let's keep it consistent. If Candis is a man then so are you. And if Candis is not a woman then neither are you.
So, her husband is not gay because what is before him is a woman.

But she was in the process of gender reassignment so does that really make him gay or just someone in love?
How many times have you been in a transitional phase when you met someone and fell in love? Just because you weren't the person you wanted to be when you met them and fell in love, does that make you less of a person?
I think he fell in love with whom he fell in love with. She is a woman now so he is straight.
I think most men would find her attractive if they saw her walking down the street and knew nothing about her. That wouldn't make them gay, now would it?
Remember Tula? She was a Bond girl. Until people "outed" her nobody knew the difference, nor did they care. They just thought "Well done!" -

I don't think that really matters, Don.
This is going to be a bit sexually graphic and I apologize ahead of time for anyone who is offended but his penis is penetrating a vagina, not an anus and a penis is not penetrating his anus.
Therefore, he isn't gay.
Even if he had dated a transgender before, what was he penetrating and what was he attracted to?
How many men are attracted to a MUSCULAR or HAIRY woman? How many men are attracted to a woman with a deep voice? Does this make them gay?
Of course not!
I sorta understand where you are going with this but I have to disagree with you on that one.
I think this just who he loves and it doesn't make him gay because she is a woman now.
Furthermore, people keep talking about how she still had a penis when they dated. When you first look at her, all you see is a woman, unless she is walking around naked then you see that she has a penis. What was he attracted to first? Her face and feminine features or her penis?
I think he was attracted to what he perceived was a woman. Therefore he is not gay. -

If this is true, then oral sex is not sex either, and whether or not it is a guy or girl doing the deed, it doesn't matter because it all feels the same if you close your eyes.
I think I saw an interview with Candis Cayne and it said they met in like 1997 I think, and she didn't get her operation til like 2001, so I'm fairly confident they were having intercourse before the operation, which means he was penetrating something that did not resemble a vagina.
"How many men are attracted to a MUSCULAR or HAIRY woman? How many men are attracted to a woman with a deep voice? Does this make them gay?
b68Of course not!"
This is very contradictory to what you're saying. You said that Candis' boyfriend is straight because she LOOKS like a woman. This goes against said statement because then these men WOULD be gay.
A good point is brought up though. If a man is attracted to women with masculine features such as a deep voice, hairy, big muscles (A female body builder is a good example minus the hair, and some of them look like guys and don't have breasts, but pecks) then I do believe that his sexuality can be questionable. It's just like seeing a transgender like Candis, it might make him straight because they look like a woman, but I don't know, I don't think anybody could actually know, it's just a matter of one's opinion.
