Is she white, mulatto or mestizo?

Yeah, Eva is mulatta and I'm amazed there are still people who try to classify what you are by what you look like. My niece and nephew have blonde hair blue eyes and look like your standard white Americans, but their father is African-American. Looks are in no way a 100% indication of what someone is.

A lot of people are ignorant, naive, and just plain stupid. The people on this thread are just upset that they're not right. You'd be amazed how nuts people get when they're proven wrong, th16d0ey will go down fighting, never admitting they were incorrect. LOL it's funny to view though so let's see how long this will go on.

Um, actually it doesn't matter if that majority thinks Eva isn't mulatta. I don't know where you live, but here in Miami where there is one of the, if not the, LARGEST Cuban/Cuban-American population in America, they think she is MULATTA. I've been to Cuba and they say she's mulatta. But that doesn't matter either. Why? Because the fact is she is one. Eva is a mulatta. Jennifer Beals doesn't "look" mulatta, but she is. Get over it, honey. As I said again for you who lack reading compression: do not be fooled by the nose job, flat ironing, dyed hair. Eva does not "look" mestizo or white. And either way, there are half white, half black people who have white skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. LOL you're so funny trying so bad to make her something she's not.

Not neccesary but that's how people sees you. No one would accept if Denzel Washington would say he's part Native American, especially not Black people. If Ms. Mendes would have distant Black ancestry like I said was possible it still doesn't make her more black then what Whoopi Golderg or Don Cheadle are white (both had 10/20% White ancestry in a recent DNA test). And by the way, there is no place on the net stating she would be mulata. Give me a source LOL

Keep it going! The fansites that do state her race: MULATTA. Google it. Further yet, LEARN the history of indigenous people of Cuba. Most were extinguished waaaay before Eva. Calling Eva Mendes "mulata" is like calling Keanu Reeves "asian" because his father has, among many other things, chinese roots.
It doesn't make any sense.
Nobody here is saying Eva Mendes is 100% white (she obviously is not) or that it is impossible she has any black ancestor (she probably has).
But, for the last time, that doesn't make her a mulatta.
She looks mestiza, mostly white, with some native american blood in her, and probably a little bit of black.
But that is not mulata.
Halle Berry, Alicia Keys and Cristina Milian are mulattas, which means, biracial black and white.
If you think that Eva Mendes look like these women you definitely need glasses. -

Eva is, for all intents and purposes, a mulatta. Cuba's present-day population is a mixture of the descendants of African slaves and those of the Spanish Conquistadors. The Taino Natives were killed off prior to the mass shipments of slaves from Africa. This increases the odds of Eva having Black parentage exponentially.
