it is shown in another film. the fact that it is on tv in that other film is scarier than the original film itself.
i dont actually remember which other film it is shown in, though.

The movie you're looking for is Cannibal Girls (1973). It was the first movie directed by Ivan Reitman, and has the "ringing bell" gimmick to warn viewers of impending violent scenes.

I need to re-watch this. Only seen it the once. There is not even a blu-ray release of it in the UK, which I really don't understand given it's cult status. Arrow Video.. if you are listening..

It has not been released in the UK on blu-ray yet and yes the US version is region locked. I don't have a region free player (which is probably a good thing actually as I would soon be broke
).. However Arrow Video over here are releasing classic horrors left, right and centre.. so hopefully it will only be time.
I notice you rate
The Wailing
the same as me. Curious to know what your main issue was with it that stopped it from being an 8 or 9?

Oooh The Wailing. I had an 8 in mind as i watched it. I've never rated a South Korean flick so low if the truth may be told. What can I say it left me wanting. I expected SK greatness and it was just OK. Solid for sure but nothing huge.
Take that in though, lowest rated SK flick a 7. They are extremely good filmmakers.

It's been an awesome season! Things went my way in court the other week. But then I got hospitalized for a skin infection. But then I got out, so all is good. Now I'm wrestling with this horrenously itchy rash all over my body from the antibiotics I was given in the hospital (vancomycin - "Red Man Syndrome"). Just got out from an oatmeal bath. I'm a mess! LOL.

Yep, yep, and yep.
As you may remember, I watched it about 2 weeks ago and it never fails to impress. In fact, it actually manages to get better. Don't know how it can, since I've had it at a 10 for several years now. Can a perfect 10 get continually better? After all, there's nowhere to go. Maybe the fact that it doesn't disappoint even one iota, when many, many favorites have in the past, is what makes it truly special.
Perhaps there'll come a day when it does disappoint a bit, but I hope I'm dead by then, looking out an attic window with a plastic bag over my head. Seasons Greetings!!!
