Hey guys. What are yer favorite 5 or so albums from 1966?

Baby Pop
is the place to go for Miss Gall. As for The Yardbirds, I don't really have a definitive favorite album, although I my favorite era is when Jimmy Page first joined on bass.

Roger the Engineer
is their definitive album.
I liked the short-lived Jeff Beck era best - which overlapped a bit with Page's entry.

Agreed, although the post-Beck last-legs with Page taking over looks pretty formidable from the footage I've seen.

Hey man.
I'm sure you're already familiar with The Seeds' two big singles, "Pushin' Too Hard" and "Can't Seem To Make You Mine". They're great singles, of course, but the albums are definitely worth checking out. My favorite 60s garage bands are the Elevators, Seeds and Standells. early Stones, too, if they count as "garage rock".

(He is one of those artists I mentally place in the "singles" category - whether fairly or not.)

What do you consider the best Kinks studio album?
For me they never delivered a consistent album. Love many of their songs tho'.

It's like me thinking Sgt Peppers is the most over rated album of all time. The first two songs are great and then filler. A Day in the Life might also be the most over rated song of all time!

Same. Sloop John B and Wouldn't It Be Nice, which I suppose are a bit lusher than their earlier surf catalog. But those are all. My favorite Beach Boys songs are Good Vibrations and I Get Around.
