There should be an IQ test and a psychological evaluation to be president! The lack of it explains what's in the white house NOW.
What? Obama is the most intelligent and articulate president we've had in a long time. If you want to discuss a president that would fail an IQ test, talk about George W Bush. -

What was missing from tis movie was a way for the pilots to KNOW that a mistake had occurred. I can assure yu there is a way designed to prevent this situation.
But to show that would ruin the movie i guess. Plus give away secrets.
Additionally those planes should have been shot down if they would not turn. Altho i like the movie, leaving the impression we are that inept is criminal but it served the purpose 50 yrs ago because the writer wanted to scare us.
To anyone who did not live thru the cold war, yu dont have the experience to post!

no one gets to criticize this movie if you are not at least 60.
Any younger than that and you didnt feel the fear because your parents didnt discuss it in front of the kids. -

simplemines - why're you pushing a failed conservative repuglican agenda ? This was just a movie and a very good one at that.
We have the best person in the White house today but unfortunately idiots in the Congress ( more on the GOP side than the Dem side but both are bad ).
Too bad because Obama has done a lot already and he can do even more if only those idiots in Congress will have the balls to do the right things.
And in November, I hope the people will throw away the useless O'Donnells, Whitmans, Paladino's forever. There really should be an IQ test to be in the govt. Can't believe the GOP has these people as candidates. shudder -

You're an idiot. The movie is a conceptual thought piece to present intellectual puzzles, not present possible future realities.
You're supposed to be shocked and horrified by the concept of sacrificing a city, and then begin the process of reconsidering whether the whole "mutually assured destruction" concept has any merit to begin with, or if there are better versions to be considered.
At no point were you supposed to think: "Gol darn, THAT would NEVER happen in AMUURRRICA! Unless maybe some COMMIE PINKO got in office."
