    THANK YOU!!!
If it's not broken, don't fix it. This is my absolute favorite movie of all time. I remember going to see it in the theater. It was backed at that time with the East Of Java movie, lol. Yep, back then when you could actually have fun for under $5.
There is no "remaking" of thisleave it alone people!!
Nobody can replace the Newman & Redford pair. Please, just leave them alone. Let them have the glory they so richly deserve. In a single wordLegendary is what they were & always will be.

Actually, in a way it is broken. But I wouldn't remake the movie, just redo the soundtrack. A new soundtrack could make this movie amazing again.
Okay, I would also just plain delete the sequence of still shots that cover the trip to Bolivia.
The movie is never as good after they first leave home, but a new soundtrack and a few edits could do wonders.
      and the rocks it pummels.

Brucedgo- Replace the soundtrack or the score that won three Oscars? 'Coz I'm thinking you may be wrong about that.

the music was good then. Dated terribly.
And the story did lose something after they left home.

The re-make morons are on every board of great movies. They're like roaches.

I don't think anyone can really match the chemistry of Newman and Redford, but those would be those two. I wouldn't want a remake, but something in the vein of this would be a perfect vehicle for Clooney and Pitt to showcase their charisma and acting abilities. A film of that nature would do what the Ocean movies never could, present the two as the icons of cinema they truly are.

Yeah, petegatt, I thoroughly agree. All these remakes and reboots seem like just lazily treading water, wasting an opportunity for telling new stories. Especially when the previous versions still work.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender would be quite an interesting pair-up, I think.

Gosling can't act his way out of a paper bag. Sick and tired of people saying hes a good actor, hes a lazy two bit actor.

Redford was no Laurence Olivier ya know.he basically plays the same snarky character in every movie he's in, including this one.
Don't get me wrong this movie is a classic, but Redford was a great-looking movie star, not necessarily a great

There is no sense in remaking something that is already absolutely perfect. It would be akin to repainting the
