Which Python film is your favorite? Holy Grail or Life of Brian??

No contest for me: Holy Grail. I thought that Life of Brian had some die laughing parts and some great satire, but overall I didn't really like it. It didn't have the "intelligence" or wittiness of the Holy Grail that I loved. A lot of the humor was more childish like the Biggus Dickus and that stupid alien scene.

I love both so much that is very hard to pick one. Both have great humour. I would say The Holy Grail.
Some of my favorite parts from both are: The frenchman on the wall, Sir Robin's minstrel, The black Knight, the killer bunny, the african/european swallow, the knights who say ni, the people's front of Judea, Biggus Dickus, the guy with the silence vow, the latin lesson.. I could go on and oneven now I laugh just thinking about them. For me Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Fawlty Towers and Dr. Strangelove are the best comedies ever made. Each one has enormous rewatch value.

I have to go against the crowd here and say Holy Grail is better, but only slightly so. It's sillier and a bit more focused on comedy and laughs, and has less time devoted to satire - plus is much more quotable. But I love both films.
