Tie between holy grail and Brian. If I were to choose it would be wrong. Just like when they ask which of your children you like most.
Wrong, and in very bad taste this question

I love both so much that is very hard to pick one. Both have great humour. I would say The Holy Grail.
Some of my favorite parts from both are: The frenchman on the wall, Sir Robin's minstrel, The black Knight, the killer bunny, the african/european swallow, the knights who say ni, the people's front of Judea, Biggus Dickus, the guy with the silence vow, the latin lesson.. I could go on and oneven now I laugh just thinking about them. For me Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Fawlty Towers and Dr. Strangelove are the best comedies ever made. Each one has enormous rewatch value.

Life of Brian, with Holy Grail just out of cow chucking distance.

Life of Brian win by a millimeter. But the best joke belong to the Holy Grail. The whole Swamp Castle scene always had me in stitches.

I would have to say Holy Grail. Life of Brian is very good too, but I always found it to be more clever than funny.

Holy Grail followed by Meaning of Life. I want the killer rabbit slippers so badly and can't get the Meaning of Life songs out of my head after I watch the movie!!

Holy Grail is the Holy Grail of comedy.

I have to go against the crowd here and say Holy Grail is better, but only slightly so. It's sillier and a bit more focused on comedy and laughs, and has less time devoted to satire - plus is much more quotable. But I love both films.
