Does anyone else think this may have helped inspired Robert Altman's brilliant "The Player"? This is a viciously funny attack on Hollywood and its warped values, and I can't think of a worthier victim.

I read that Michael and Steven Tolkin, authors of the book, based it on experiences that actually happened to them. Of course Hollywood is ripe for satire so I imagine dozens of books and films could be made on the lives of those behind the scenes.
