Yes my friend! Bennet was a real gay.he wanted to have dating with Matrix but he was Straight and wanted to have a safe life with his daughter, the big war was just about their great love,Bennet's great love to Matrix.if you notice to form of holding knife in Bennet's hand, this is so like a penis in his hand.you are so smart to find out that hidden and strong gay theme Mr

I just watched this again, and this guy just looks like a joke. The mustache, the clothes, the flab hanging out everywhere. Hard to believe Matrix would even waste more than a few seconds killing this guy.
The funny thing is that in reality Vernon Wells was former Australian Special Air Service in his youth. A very hard elite unit to pass selection for.

Either asexual or gay(not that it matters) or at least bisexual probably. Especially since he looked like a member of the village people with that weird-ass chain vest thing and his mustache(unless perhaps that was a thing of the movie's era)
While it isn't super important I found myself wondering the same thing the first time I watched the movie.

Was Bennett gay?
Sure, he was. Bennett doesnt need to explain himself on this matter. The real question is whether or not John Matrix liked the men. Bennett seemed to think Matrix was living a lie and hated him for it. Explains everything. In some ways this movie is like an adaptation of Gore Vidals The City and the Pillar, with Matrix as Jim.
