Every country has its own share of riots and violence. I didn't say that india is free from violence. I said Indian muslims are free.. to vote, to create parties, to come up in the society, to act, to wear what they like, to write books, to party, to marry from other religions, to get the beep out of India's enemies, and what not! Just see how many muslims are playing in the indian cricket team. just see how many muslims are in the entertainment field. just see how many muslims are in the Indian army. And for your information, The Indian President is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who is very much a muslim.
Here we look for talent and not religion. In stark contrast, i would like to quote the example of Pakistan cricket team. There WAS one christian called Yousuf Youhana and now his name is Mohammad Yousuf. I guess you need no more evidence.
INDIA IS A FREE COUNTRYYY
thanks

Yes but speaking as a complete 'alien' who spent time living in Pakistan , I can clearly say that yes there are problems in Pakistani society and the people need to be educated about them but having said only the people can do that! Unlike the so called secular Indian government that has rubber stamped politicans and manfactured actors so they can make them-selves appear to be one to the out-side world.

Raulfreddy, I apologize for my earlier post, it wasn't called for.
I'm happy that you are patriotic as an indian muslim. My concern was only for the wellbeing of my muslim bros/sisters across the border, seeing how over 2000 were raped/killed in india 4 yrs ago.
Be as indian as you want, we're fine with that. But when our people are being killed your countrydon't expect us to be quiet about that.
I have lived in pakistan and I can tell you that we treat our minorities well. Though we also have our occasional riots/etc, I really doubt that pakistanis have ever committed mass murders to such a scale as the hindus have recently(One thing that brought tears to my eyes was hearing how pregnant muslim women were knifed open and their unborn kids thrown in the fire) IT was an absolute horrific crime and the indian government did absolutely nothing considering its a "free democracy". Even the Sikhs have been betrayed by the hindus on many occasions. Though we are not indian, these are things we will never forget.
My question to you is: what has this "democratic gov't" done to ensure that such a genocide never occurs again?
regards. -

I'm an Indian muslim and I can tell u that we're happy that my granddad didnt make the same mistake some of his cousins made -aka- migrating to Pakistan. Most of them have migrated to Canada and UK,but our family is still well in India
U say u treat ur minority well, other than kidnapping Hindu girls and converting them, other than burning churches and destroying temples, using blasphemy laws for personal vengeance, bombing Shia Mosques and killing them while travelling in bus, desecrating Ahmedi graves and not given proper treatment to your first Nobel winner,Abdus Salam..
The relationship between Indian and Pakistani muslims were cut during 1947 and we dont need your helpWe can defend on our own..We dont want to be authoritative country like urs..
Ur country is going to dogs, because muslims cease to act as muslims, but u people act like dinosaurs in Jurassic Park -

LOL! The Indian jealousy at the existance of Pakistan is showing in this thread! Jinnah tried very hard to work with the Hindu's to make sure that India would remain a united country. But he later realized that because the Hindus were much greater in number, and because of the Hindu refusal to accept his 14 points, he had to ask for a separate nation. Do some research from unbiased sources before you come here to diss the Father of our Nation. And I know you Indian's are giving this film the lowest rating you can, but please, actually watch the film or don't vote at all.
We Pakistani's respect your Gandhi, you should respect our Jinnah. -

Sanjay, time to grow up buddy. Neither Pakistan NOR india can get anything out of each other with war. Its just the world we live in. Whether Pakistan gets Kashmir or not, its a different thing, but the point is How many more lives India is willing to waste to keep the part of the land that it didn't even get fairly?

I am of Indian origin and look at all the writings in this thread with disgust. I am personally happy with the existence of both countries in a idealogical sense. Both countries are not going to go away, we might as well accept that. Both countries have their share of problems. India has too many people with problems such as poverty, malnutrition and corruption.
If Jinnah were around now, he would be ashamed of Pakistan and how religious tensions are tearing the country. Jinnah was a man of integrity who realized the problems with too much religion and had wanted a secular country where muslims could live in peace. What do we have instead in Pakistan, people wanting Sharia law and so on.
Instead of concentrating on who has Kashmir, who is great etc, I would think that both countries need to work on improving the economic structure to reduce the severe problems in both countries. -

Well Muslims came from Arab and conquered the Indian and ruled "Hindustan" for over 1000 years. Yes Muslims lost their power after British rule and smart people like Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Iqbal and Jinnah realized that there would be no living after Britishs are gone, and man weren't they right, look up how many Muslims have been killed in India since partition as opposed to Hindus!
Bollywood is a beep industry that plagiarises everything from Hollywood and other western films, so there is nothing to be jealous of "Bollywood". LOL even the name is a copy of Hollywood and your proud of that? -

he was a man who threated to cause civil war in india had his demands for free muslim state been rejected.
Ok I guess this is what your text books and media teach you, I can't say anything more.
in fact it is well recorded that jinnah was not even a strong muslim, he drank liquor and lived and acted like a british man for almost his entire term in india.
Thats right, and so am I, I am atheist Pakistani but I love the leader who created a country called Pakistan. There's nothing wrong in being a "Non-Muslim".
if muslims want to look up to leaders they need to look at people such as maulana azad, apj, and not conniving, machiavellian leaders such as jinnah.
Well Jinnah with capital "J" you moron, was a smart, intellegent man, your just pissed of coz he divided your land called India.
"this again does not imply that he was a black monstorous badmouthing beast, but rather a man of great potential who simply got lost in his unrequitted love of power."
Black bad mouth?? Again its your just jelaousy speaking. I didn't say Gandhi an ugly bald sand beep couldn't do what Jinnah did, now did I? -

I want to tell you guys something why islam is taking for ride for everything every polician in the world either gets votes by telling people he hates islam or by saying he loves it people are right about jinnah.. it was his personal vision to have a muslim state and he got it i am totally against pakistan being there but i thankful to jinnah cause we can see that he just took the worst people away from india we all know where pak stands, even while it got the best of india's part
I wanna ask you guys do u have any idea what is islam Musharaf and his wife both drink and its not permitted by islam many more things you can get from history where people who blindly followed islam only gave power to people who manupulated them may be jinnah was one
No wonder that its the only decent budget movie about him and even this did not get takers it was direct to DVD
I dont hate him or love him cause i dont know him i am mentioning all this cause there is enough anti india stuff in this thread India is the only country where you can practice islam without feeling guilty about it when i say only then let me tell you Mr. saudi who is the care takers of most holy places for muslims goes to meet pop and wears a cross to impress him if you dont know about it then go to history and check it Love islam and i love you peoplebut dont say a word against india and hiduism
Jinnah was an opportunist gandhi proposed his name for Prime ministership and nehru and all rejected and thats the reason why there is pakistan and history is a witness to it
This was just a person agenda islam was used to justify it and you guys are still not able to get it you appreciate he created pakistan but there is not even a single justification to it
I am sure islam would sooner or later get over the Hippocratic followers
you can write me back with whatever words i would give you more reason to do that in my reply -

Rajiv I don't think you need to be giving Pakistani's a lecture on what Islam is. For your information, most Pakistani's probably dont care that Musharraf and his wife drink, that is up to them. Indians like to think they are in the know about Islam, and they try to ingratiate themselves with other countries by bonding with them over the threat of Islamismbut guess what, on the whole, Islam is a much less conservative religion than Hinduism. Only a Muslim understands what the true meaning of Islam is, so you don't need to come on the board of the secular founder of Pakistan and try and create tension.
You also have a warped idea of what India is today. India learnt from Israel and has heavily invested in its PR department- you have managed to dupe the world that India is some kind of secular democracy but any person who goes to India will soon be able to see that this is a myth.
Btw. Pakistan is not technically a homeland for 'Indian Muslims' as many think it is. The majority of Pakistanis are native to the area, so what connection do they have with India apart from the fact that the British lumped them in with India under their rule?
I have noticed a lot of Indians still resent the creation of Pakistan, but you can count the number of Pakistanis that want to reunite with India on one hand. -

dear fabsab your statements are politically correct and thats what is left with you guys there
"For your information, most Pakistani's probably dont care that Musharraf and his wife drink, that is up to them."
Well this guys rules you like father like son he is the one who defines your charater so you are what he is
"Only a Muslim understands what the true meaning of Islam is, so you don't need to come on the board of the secular founder of Pakistan and try and create tension."
I have lived 10 years with muslims today my partners and my friends are all muslims i know islam the way Quran explains and i dont think there are many complication here anyone would understand islam cause its clear and just and pure in its wording and advantage is that you dont have many versions of Quran.. like bible has many versions so let me tell you its not hard to understand islam and respect it as far as Jinnah is concerned secularism is good but then what was the need of pakistan if you are secular.. let hindus and muslims stay together in india, let there be civil war if that takes people to learn, america faced it and once for all what goes wrong infact nothing goes wrong then About nativity of pakistanis, when there was no pakistan then how come they are native pakistanis its a land india had to shell out as a cost of its independence and i like it or not does not matter but thats simply the fact they were native indians and there was no pakistan before 1947 I dont think anybody ever said pakistan as homeland for indian muslims it was just a product of greed and lust of a man you dont like to hear it but you can not justify it either Just telling people that you dont understand it only tells how intelligent you are cause you think others are fools i never want to discuss hinduism or islam here cause if you think you are smart there is nothing called hinduism, indian philosophy of religion lets you follow whatever god you want to and its between you and the god to decide you were right or wrong thats why there are thousands of names of god and they are all resepcted and if you ever follow Dr. Zakir naik then you gonna find out that only vedas defined that god would be worshiped as Allah and Mr. mohd would start this way of worshiping thats 2000 years before islam was born, you have Mohammad as name there, place of his birth defined, name of his mother and father defined in vedas, I only came accross this cause i give full respect to islam and when i watched Dr. Naik i had an open mind all this binds us into just one god and i dont know why you just want to run away like jinnah did you can go to youtube and see his lectures i hope you have some faith in Dr. Naik and dont blame him for supporting hindu agenda
