Requiem for a Dream
Se7en
Donnie Darko

And my honorable mention would have to go to The Ring, even though I know I'm going to catch all sorts of hell for it. When I saw it the first time, I couldn't sleep for like a month afterwards, and I think that makes it count for this. -

I watched The Ring a dozen times. It's a very slick and atmospheric film. I'm talking about the remake, which was great. I don't like japanese horror, somehow it's not scary at all.

Ooh, I love making lists!!! Ones that I don't think have been mentioned yet:
- Half Nelson
- Swimming Pool
- Millions
- Hard Candy
- Where the Day Takes You
And I'd agree with those who mentioned: Mysterious Skin (this would be number one on my list), Secretary, The Ring, City of God, and Y Tu Mama Tambien
