…about TWD vs. Soapbox. TWD, right now, must have about 10 regular posters (maybe less than that), while Soapbox must run to at least 50 or 60, or more.
First of all, it's a stupid debate, probably instigated by that ****-stirrer (and now, I gather,
    literal
****-stirrer) Orson (see "My well-oiled burrito: the life and times of Orson, Doubleday, 2020).
Second, I don't think anyone on TWD is making serious claims of superior status or ability. All the running is being done by irritable soapboxers. So, not a real debate.
Third…I know I had a third point. Anyway, that's my tuppence worth.

My good sir, are you suggesting that a minor issue is being turned into major drama?
      Say it ain’t so.

Not all the non-TWD posters are Soapboxers, though.

            Please explain using Venn diagrams.

It's called the checkmate. It's when a guy screws over the use of a urinal for a person by choosing a urinal where there is no way other than to break the cardinal rule of never peeing next to a person. Here's a diagram to illustrate:
              Urinals

              | A | | B | | C | | D | | E |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              +-----------+ +-----------+ +-----------+ +-----------+ +-----------+
In this situation, if a person is in Urinal A and the second person has urinal C or E to choose from. That way, if a third shows up, then he still has a urinal option without having to stand next to a person. But if the second person picks the "checkmate" urinal (D) he screwed the third person from picking a urinal without standing next to a person. See below:
              Urinals

              | A | | B | | C | | D | | E |
              | | | | | | | | | |
              | () | | | | | | () | | |
              | ( ) | | | | | | ( ) | | |
              | /\ /\ | | | | | | /\ /\ | | |
              +-//( | )\-+ +-----------+ +-----------+ +-//( | )\-+ +-----------+
              / | \ The Checkmate -------> / |
              / / \ \ / / \
As you can see. With the checkmate present, urinals B, C and E are now blocked and therefore it either forces the third person to either break the cardinal rule or use a stall.

                not
comparing soapboxers to a row of urinals and saying we piss all over them!!!!

To answer your question, posters here come from various boards. Several posted on The Soapbox, but some posted on other IMDb boards, such as Film General or various TV/movie boards. I think some just lurked on IMDb. Some posters here are from Moviechat and TMDB, but I assume most of them were on IMDb before that, even if they only lurked.

Really? Why would posters from all these places come to this board?

"This board" as in Filmboards? Because it was originally an IMDb archive site (it still is; several boards have archived IMDb posts), and it looks similar to IMDb (especially if you use the "Classic" theme). Many IMDbers ended up on various IMDb spinoff sites, and this is one of them.

I think you misunderstood when I said, "Not all the non-TWD posters are Soapboxers, though." I meant not all the posters on Filmboards who aren't TWD posters are Soapboxers.

This is why I said we need Venn diagrams. Let one circle be Soapboxers. Let this other one (O) be TWD. Let a third (Q) be neither Soapboxers nor TWD. Then S=TWD/Others X pi.
