And they'll have to post it a dozen or more times still before the dumb fraks talking about how horrible she is finally gets it that it was done exactly correct.

I actually just finished the movie and thought it was absolutely one of the more realistic scenes. Perfectly executed. I knew the she had to be a Navy Corpsman and not an actress.

        Exactly.
When I first saw the film, the moment that scene played, I knew that was not an actress but active duty Naval personnel. First thing I did when I got home was look her up to see who she was.

I am an American citizen, born and raised in NYC. I have zero military training. I am basically a landlubber.
I have thankfully never been in any kind of life-threatening, traumatic situation at all, let alone a predicament like Phillips was in.
HM2 Danielle Albert, USS Truxton is EXACTLY the kind of calm, competent, reassuring professional I would want helping me were I in this situation.
She is the epitome of what I always thought the best of our American armed service personnel represents.
Don't even get me started on the brilliant technical proficiency and bravery of every single American service personnel involved in the rescue operation. Not to mention the sheer logistical complexity of getting that many people to focus and resolve a single, immensely intricate, high-stakes operation.
          Life isn't a movie.
Too many people on imdb seem to forget that and of course they then exaggerate their own imaginations of how they think they might react in such fantastical situations as the one in this film.
Reality, especially in the way Corpsman O'Brien was portrayed in the film is just too boringly professional for the fantasy expectations of armchair imdb film viewers.
The sad part is that too many folks here on imdb apparently don't understand that that's exactly the way some things need to be.
          Sidenote:
If indeed you are one, profound and continuing thanks to you CGSailor and all of your US Armed Services personnel across the world for doing what you do.
"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

Exactly. the instant I saw her in film and she started in with her scene I KNEW right then she was not an actress but the real deal. Calm and Professional.
We do have all kinds in the Navy though as there is in Any Military force. From your professional sailors and hard workers, to a few slack-offs just skating by doing the minimum, Problem Children. You'll find intelligence and goof-balls.
            In regards to the Sidenote:
            Thank you.
There are a number of us that are Veterans and a few that are still active Duty that post here. (Quite a number of Stolen Valor Jackwagons as well)
Myself, I served aboard USS Halsey (CG 23), and USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63)
EW (Electronic Warfare), I intercepted and Jammed Radars and Radar guided weapons.

I never saw a Marine Corpsman with Charlies as big as hers when I was in the Core.
              Also Mack in JAG too.

His Daddy_Tej account is likely his primary.
It was formerly Grondig66, then he changed the name of it. All of his former posts under Grondig66 (that haven't been deleted by Admin) are now the Daddy_Tej name.
Most of his other sockpuppet names popped up about the same time as well. Apparently he is on some sort of Indian fetish at the moment.
And the Grondig66 account only started when his previous account was shut down in its entirety by IMDb, That name was TheGreatMoghul.

Do you know what Grondig66 did for the first 17 of his 20-years in the Corps? Counter-Intelligence. Grondig's gone there is no Grondig.

Also with Rajeshmulan/Daddy_tej and his numerous other sockpuppets throughout IMDB, he has a ratherdisrespectful attitude towards women. For example his comments about 'charlies'. God knows what he'd be like if he ever watched Game of Thrones.
