    You're simply a hater.
    This is a masterpiece!
This is how a real action movie should look like.
Some top cops fighting with mobsters. This is how it should be!
No endless dialogues and stupid drama. Just a lot of fighting and fear that makes you do anything to survive. The damn mobsters won't talk with you. They will simply beat the livin' crap outta you, or shoot you to death.
Clearly this movie isn't for you.

hold on, dont take so seriously this movie. Its about action and there it is.ACTION, KABOOM, PAWW. That's what we want, no need drama bs whatsoever, if you've watch Ong Bak, its suck than this, that siamese just knows about fighting and refuse to talk. The Raid is better 9/10(9-action 1-its bs)

I don't understand why some people even attempt to rate something that's not their "cup of tea" (this movie is anything but 'tea' though). I mean - I HATE horror/ slasher flick genre. So if I attempt to rate ANY of them I'd give them all probably 2 - 3 out of 10!!
@freightdog99 if I may inquire,, what are "action" movie titles would you classify as 'good/ okay' and 'awesome/ great' ? Because Action is the genre the raid falls into O.o
Besides, if you're saying this is a game, you mistook the movie with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gyxXSnnp_Y

You, me and most people rate the movies they watched or tried to watch. I thought this was meh, cool action though. You are on to something though. This movie is highly rated because it's a movie that pretty much only gets watched by lovers of video game action, and on that point it surely delivers.

This isn't Video Game action, it's martial arts and dates back to the Bruce Lee and Sonny Chiba days. Calling it Video Game action is just wrong.
The Resident Evil movies, the Underworld movies, pretty much any Paul W.S. Anderson, Len Weisman, or MCG movie classifies as Video Game action. The Matrix has Video Game action too. The Raid is not wire-fu in front of a green screen, it is classic martial arts choreography and stunt work.

Completely agree with you, this was definitely not a "video game action" movie I enjoyed this nearly as much or possibly more than I did Ip Man and that was a great martial arts movie. At least in my opinion

Yeah, because there were no martial arts movies before video games. It all makes sense now.

My point is that your post is beep idiotic.
The movie is highly rated because it's a movie that only gets watched by lovers of video game action? xD
What about the high ratings from critics? Do they love ''video game action'' as well?

You are twisting my words. I will break it down for you.
I said a lot of the viewers, not all of them, are lovers of video game action. Since the movie greatly delivers on this particular type of action these viewers accordingly are giving high rates. Bringing the number up.
Critics can indeed appreciate video game action too. And nowhere have I said that other elements have no part in the fine rating this movie has.
Idiotic however would be to think that the action is merely martial arts related.

Yeah, you keep saying that, but you can't back it up. You're just making beep up because you don't like the movie, and have to come up with some dumb excuse for its high rating.
And using terms like ''video game action'' is pretty pointless. It's the same as saying something has ''movie action''. I still don't know what kind of action you're talking about. It's too broad.

I think video games are great. Just not the mindless, Michael Bay video games you're probably thinking about when you say ''video game action''.
I gave this movie a 7, by the way.

Well, the movie has 73/100 from Metascore. I am sure all those critics play video games.
I give this movie a 10 because this movie was just what I wanted to see, a great great action movie. One of the best action movie in the last 10 years.
And btw, I don't play video games.

This is a movie. It's not suppose to have an insanely good plot with a shocking twist ending, or incredible dialogue. It has a 7.8 because of how good of an action film it is. Amazingly choreographed fights, you can't deny that you felt at least a bit of a tingle every time a fight broke out.

I haven't seen the film yet although it has been highly recommended by many, many directors/producers that I work with in the Film and Tv industry. The fact that you don't like it is irrelevant, haha.

Why didn't you put this up in the 'review' section where everyone else would put it?
Why bother making a messageboard post? The review section is there FOR THIS EXACT REASON.
