The movie is highly rated because it's a movie that only gets watched by lovers of video game action? xD
What about the high ratings from critics? Do they love ''video game action'' as well?

You are twisting my words. I will break it down for you.
I said a lot of the viewers, not all of them, are lovers of video game action. Since the movie greatly delivers on this particular type of action these viewers accordingly are giving high rates. Bringing the number up.
Critics can indeed appreciate video game action too. And nowhere have I said that other elements have no part in the fine rating this movie has.
Idiotic however would be to think that the action is merely martial arts related. -

Yeah, you keep saying that, but you can't back it up. You're just making beep up because you don't like the movie, and have to come up with some dumb excuse for its high rating.
And using terms like ''video game action'' is pretty pointless. It's the same as saying something has ''movie action''. I still don't know what kind of action you're talking about. It's too broad.

I think video games are great. Just not the mindless, Michael Bay video games you're probably thinking about when you say ''video game action''.

Well, the movie has 73/100 from Metascore. I am sure all those critics play video games.
I give this movie a 10 because this movie was just what I wanted to see, a great great action movie. One of the best action movie in the last 10 years.
And btw, I don't play video games. -

This is a movie. It's not suppose to have an insanely good plot with a shocking twist ending, or incredible dialogue. It has a 7.8 because of how good of an action film it is. Amazingly choreographed fights, you can't deny that you felt at least a bit of a tingle every time a fight broke out.

To each his own, but I agree to disagree. The plot was simple but the execution was terrific; great level of suspense with the characters given reasonable depth. Add the mind blowing action that embarrasses Hollywood and you've got 7.8.

I've been anticipating seeing this movie for months after seeing the trailer and reading the reviews etc. I finally watched it about a week ago, and enjoyed it but was left feeling vaguely disappointed for some reason. I'm guessing it was all the hype, which of course, can't live up to reality most of the time. I wish I could have seen it "cold" so to speak instead.
