rescue but not from a shelter. it's from a retired vet who runs a pet foster home thing so the dogs are all well taken care of, trained, and loved before being adopted out
I want to adopt young and all the young dogs at the shelter are either pitbull or some mystery mutt that I don't want to take a chance on right now. I wouldn't mind taking on an older one from the shelter but not right now

Yes, they get used for bait, sometimes even taping the bait dog mouths shut so they cannot bite back. It's cruel and inhumane, like all dog fights.
In the right hands, these dogs are gentle and compassionate and very family-oriented. They're good dogs that very often are bought by bad people who use and abuse and mistreat them because by doing so, these dogs can become aggressive, but it comes down to the owner.

None of what she says is true anyway. The dogs were bred to be hostile, to fight, to attack. People who try to say pitbulls do what they do as a result of bad owners should be brutally eaten alive by them.

I lived in Houston and the south is chockablock with dead pitties from being bait dogs or used in fights. It’s sickening. They are always loose down there. People on IG or YT have their toddlers kissing those big headed dogs makes me cringe.
