I noticed that as well. Yes, she is extremely pretty!
Aww, bless you for adopting. Is it a rescue dog from a shelter or are you looking for a specific breed?

rescue but not from a shelter. it's from a retired vet who runs a pet foster home thing so the dogs are all well taken care of, trained, and loved before being adopted out
I want to adopt young and all the young dogs at the shelter are either pitbull or some mystery mutt that I don't want to take a chance on right now. I wouldn't mind taking on an older one from the shelter but not right now
this is the girl I'm meeting tomorrow. she's a golden cavalier, 8 weeks old
An 8 week old
Golden Cavalier puppy
(mix Golden Retriever and King Charles Spaniel).
From a
"pet foster"

Face the truth, sweetie.
That's a
breeder

Yes, they get used for bait, sometimes even taping the bait dog mouths shut so they cannot bite back. It's cruel and inhumane, like all dog fights.
In the right hands, these dogs are gentle and compassionate and very family-oriented. They're good dogs that very often are bought by bad people who use and abuse and mistreat them because by doing so, these dogs can become aggressive, but it comes down to the owner.

None of what she says is true anyway. The dogs were bred to be hostile, to fight, to attack. People who try to say pitbulls do what they do as a result of bad owners should be brutally eaten alive by them.

I lived in Houston and the south is chockablock with dead pitties from being bait dogs or used in fights. It’s sickening. They are always loose down there. People on IG or YT have their toddlers kissing those big headed dogs makes me cringe.

People like Lilith claim they are devoted and loving dogs. I don't trust them either.
I would never have them around babies and kids. Too many crazy stories how they turn. People who own pits can’t get home insurance etc. Some cities have them outlawed. They need to stop breeding them period. -

The dogs that have the worst record for biting are Poodles.
Have you ever watched Caesar Milan? I've seen him work with some vicious dogs and turn them around. Dogs aren't born vicious and don't grow up vicious, especially if they are socialized. They're taught to be that way by ignorant owners. I've seen a few "vicious" ones, but usually I could take one look at the owners and understand why.
When I take my dog to the dog park, there are a LOT of Pitties because up here, we end up rescuing all the ones that are abused or abandoned down south. Up here, I'd say a good chunk of our rescue dogs come from the south because the rules are so lax, and people just don't care. I personally have only had one "negative" reaction, kind of, with a Pittie, but that's because the owner only used the dog as a junkyard dog and trained encouraged its bad behaviour, so it was always chained up during the day and ignored and let loose to roam the junkyard at night. At the park, there are dozens of Pitties and they're always big babies. I maintain that just like with children, it's how you raise them.
