I saw it scurrying across the floor while I was on my way to the kitchen, it was coming out the bathroom and I did not hear a flush the dirty bvastud. After a few minutes of screaming and crying I leapt into action and trapped it in a tupperware container and then done yeeted it from my property but not before taking a few pics. Did I do the right thing?

You should be happy to know that I catch and release spiders in a big round shaped container which makes it easy to do for the process.
Funny thing is I start out catching 3-5 in a basement room and think that is going to be it.
Nope.
After looking to notice I usually end up with a dozen plus and this goes on every time.
I think I finally catch up but where do they all come from?

And not just spiders but any other visitors who drop in.
You have a point since there are three rooms and this one is the brightest with the biggest window down there and that's mostly where they congregate.
