I've only seen two of his movies: The Street Fighter and Kill Bill Vol. 1. Both were excellent. I plan on buying this cheap 10-pack of Sonny Chiba movies I saw recently, because he is the MAN.

"Kill Bill" is the funniest I have seen him. Most of his roles were very serious. With very little comedy.

The Street Fighter is a must for any action fan and is a great introduction to Sonny Chiba. It was followed up by two lesser sequals. Both are worth a viewing just because of Sonny.

The street fighter series is the bomb diggity bomb. I think Sonny Chiba IS THE MAN!!!! I have been in seroius de5b4bate with one of my male direhard Lee friends because my friend swears that Bruce Lee is the greatest. Negitive! I think that Sonny has a very commanding screen presence. He just looks like he could tear you a new ahole! Esp. when it's raining and they do the close up of him all poised. Awesome. I think many people who know who Sonny Chiba isis very shocked that I even know anything at all about him because I'm a GIRL. Shhhhhh don't tell anyone. Anyway thanks to Quentin taratino who is my all time favorite BADASS movie director/writer, love everything he's ever done. Waiting for kill bill 2, I now have discoved some great kung fu martial arts movies.

Ive watched 2 films off the 10 pack dvd set Streetfighter was watchable version, but Karate Warriors was completely killed off with a HORRENDOUS panning & scanning, which cut away at least 2/3 of the picture. The sound was also so poor that I couldnt hear any of the dialogue.
Its a great movie though, if it was released on a decent widescreen dvd it would probably be considered one of his best films..
anyways, Streetfighter and Karate Warriors are definitely worth seeing, both great movies.
Also 'Soul of Bruce Lee' is a classic, but very hard to find. If you find it, get it. Good stuff.

"Kill Bill" is a must see.
Also "Return of Street Fighter", some say it is OK, but it is way better than OK.
"Return of Street Fighter" gives a good taste of traditional Japanese martial arts mixed with the Sonny Chiba attitude!

Never did end up getting that 10-pack,
But did get a cool Chiba film called 'Samurai Reincarnation' Classic!
Look's Like it's going to be remade, without Chiba!

About to order the Chiba 10-Pack at http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=3685053&cart=185356636&style=MOVIE, with shipping it comes to just over $20, good for anyone who can't find it in any stores near them.
Question, are the movies in the pack in original language with subs or the English dubbed?

Chiba's TV drama series, "Kage No Gundan" and "Yagyuu Conspiracy", were his best work. Must see if you are into "Ninja" fighting!

I might have to pick up this 3 pack (if it's still in production). I have Golgo in VHS format but haven't upgraded.
