I got goosebumps too from that, not because of his looks, but because I always got excited when James was about to do some violenceI went nuts when he slammed the chair in the episode about hypertension. I wish they would have had at least one episode when James got to throw knuckles, but seeing him jack some dude up was good too.

What difference does it makes if a man thinks another man is good looking? I'm am woman, But it seems that men that find that men makes comments about another man holds some insecurity about their own sexuality! So relax guys, their plenty of animals in the animal kingdom that are homosexual anyway. Besides, James is HOTT!

John Amos did an excellent job of playing James Evans. his character was so strong and loving even with his temper you could tell his character truly loved and wanted what was best for his family.
I am happy to see his career is still going strong as well as it should because he is such a g5b4reat talent.
I wonder if any of the stars view these boards to see what people think of them.
if he does view this..Mr.Amos you are one of my favorite actors.peace and love to you always. -

The episode Good Times officially ended was the episode that they killed James off in the car wreck. I have absolutely no desire to watch after that. James Evans has to be considered one of the top 7 or 8 fathers every portrayed on television.

Good Times wasn't the same after James was killed off. The show was still watchable and humorous, but it just wasn't the same. He made the show worth watching and if he was around for the last three seasons, the show would have probably lasted longer, maybe even up to the 1980's, but I guess we will never know what would have happened if John Amos's character killed off.
