It should also be noted that JK Rowling is very well known for noting when a person is of a different race: Dean Thomas, Angelina Johnson, Parvati and Padma Patil, Lee Jordan, etc
Yes, that's right, but she doesn't offer any information about the Patils IN the books. We know it because of their names and complementary information.
I'm the book they never say she is black. She is described as "very plain with brown hair"
No, they never say she's black, but that thing about "very plain with brown hair" is even more false. So you can remove the quotation marks or Rowling will sue you. -

The only characters in the books described as being black are Angelina Johnson, Dean Thomas, and Blaise Zabini. Lavender Brown is most definitely never described as being black and with the whole snogging with Ron scene, it is clear she is white. However, she was "played" by a black actress in the third movie just for the heck of it. The only other black characters as Lee Jordan and Alicia Spinnet, although I don't believe either of them were actually described as black in the books but since they are in the movies and their is not contradiction otherwise, the probably are.

I wanted a cheerleader type girl. Thats really smiley and crazy. Kinda like a gets everything she wants. I was a little sad by Jessi cause she made the character ridda0iculous. She didn't seem sneaky at all. Or semi obnoxious. Just a loud silly weird girl. Kinda like a mix of Hermione and Luna.

- No, the book does not say so.
- Assuming you are female and British, I'm fairly certain you could've auditioned regardless of your race.
- Seeing as the race of Lavendar Brown has absolutely no affect whatsoever on the plotlines of the HP stories (books or movies), does it really make a difference?
