    Hello.
I've been trying to remember the name of a film, (Probably short film, but I'm really not positive) that played every Christmas or Christmas Eve, but I believe Christmas morning around 7:00 AM in Australia.
I have some memories of this film and will state them below.
This film was about and man and his donkey in a desert. He may have been a wise man, but that was the way he was depicted, even if he was not an official wise man. He came across many obstacles in his journey, but the main part that I remember, is that every time he returned to his donkey, he would pull out a portable set of stairs and place them down to climb onto his donkey, then returned them to his bag or wherever he kept them. These stairs kept appearing throughout the film.
I apologise for the lack of information, and unsureness on some facts, but would love if someone recognised this and could tell me the name of this film from my childhood.
    Thanks!

Was it animated or live action? That sound like a Merry Melodies/Looney Tunes sort of running gag.

Oh sorry, can't believe I forgot to mention that. It was animated. 🙂

Might be a long shot not exactly what you describe but might be this:

Not exactly what I thought I remembered, however, looking at the images, it is possible that this is it. I will have to find it somewhere and watch it to be sure. Thanks for your help!

Could it be a version of
                  The Other Wise Man
? There are multiple versions. I've only seen one version (they used to show it to us in Sunday School in the '70s) and don't remember it well enough to say if it has the stairs.

                      Hello.
I am looking for the title of a movie. Unfortunately, I have vague memories of it, so I ll try to be as much informative as possible in my description.
1.It was made in the 70s or early 80s. Probably american or british. I dont remember if the leads were well known movie stars or b-list actors.
2.I think it's set in a tropical country, maybe somewhere in Africa or Latin America.
3.the main characters are three. two men and a woman. the two men are rivals and they love the same woman. all of them are after some diamonds.
4.I only remember the last scene of the movie:
all three characters are in some open countryside with a jeep parked in there. the sinister rival is threatening them with a gun. He wants to give him the bag of diamonds they have. The good hero has a plan, he tells to the woman to get in the jeep and start driving it, while he pretends that he is giving the diamonds to the bad guy. Instead, he will throw the bag in the jeep and jump in the vehicle too.
The woman does as she is told, she begins driving the jeep, while the good hero disarms the bad guy and throws the bag with the diamonds inside the moving jeep and starts running to get in the vehicle. But the woman is driving the jeep very fast and the good hero is running behind it and starts yelling to slow down but the woman ignores him. She drives off alone with the diamonds.
The two men are left alone in the open field. they look at each other and start laughing as they realize that they have been played by the woman they loved. the movie ends there.
anyone knows the movie I am talking about?

                        I don't think it's

                        or its sequel, is it?

I remember that scene but can't place it.
                          Maybe
                          Firewalker (1986)
or one of those Allan Quartermain movies with Richard Chamberlain?
                          Know what I mean?

                            Only When I Larf

                            • an enjoyable comedy caper movie from 1968 starring David Hemmings and Richard Attenborough. They play a pair of con-men brothers, and the climax ends in the Lebanese desert with the pretty girl they're both fighting over driving off in a jeep with the loot. The scene you describe when they're laughing together over both being swindled can be seen at the start of the trailer below:
