I understand Jesus was a true historical figure. Going back in time to question him wouldn't prove much. I suppose it's a case of whether or not you believe he is the Messiah he claims to be. Many people (such as the Romans) naturally believed him to be a liar.

Well… agree to disagree, but most historical evidence points to Jesus NOT being a historical figure.
Surely there might have been a delusional Rabbi running around Jerusalem at the time, claiming to be the son of god.
But the Jesus/Savior Myth is so close to MANY other similar myths, it more points to being just old folklore being retold and repackaged over and over. Finally turning into mass-accepted religious dogma, when Jesus / christianity was popularized by Constantine in the 300s.
Thats it, I’m going to clown college -

I've always been of the understanding that Jesus christ himself did exist and that it's just a question of his word that's the true mystery. It's no lie that religion holds a certain power. I just placed him in the same category of Muhammed (who also claimed he could perform miracles)

Socrates, Plato, Juan Kerr. It certainly has a ring to it. I'll ask hungry to get working on a poll at once.
Which of the following properly completes the philosophical progression:
Socrates, Plato, and a 300 pound pile of festering horse **** etc etc
Socrates, Plato, and a festering pile called Kerr, etc etc
