The B word and the disrespect shown on this board

Maybe it's because she WAS a nagging bitch? Within the first 13 minutes of the movie I was hoping she'd be the first to die. Yes, couples do fight, but she went uber psycho bitch within the first few minutes. You want to say he acted in a way that set her to run her mouth? She was nagging right off the bat constantly befor he barely got a word in..
This is the modern age and people are entitled to call it as they see it, and apparently the greater majority other than yourself found her to be a nagging bitch.
PS. Thats the second time I saw you reference the "use your right hand" bit. Was it necessary to start a thread just to get that opinion heard?
PPS. I KNOW it's not right to have NO respect for women, but we are talking about a fictional character and not the person playing said character. You should KNOW the difference. -

OP said it. There isnt respect or proper manner to treat people these days anymore.
This is the modern age and people are entitled to call it as they see it, and apparently the greater majority other than yourself found her to be a nagging bitch
Yeah, this is the modern world where respect, education, and chivalry towards women doesnt exist anymore, you are the example.
Now it seems we are all "bitches", with no differences (There is a lot of a lot of real bitches beep around especially on the internet) and I dont see Vicky in this film is a Bitch at all, that how YOU see her.
Well, basically all the idots we can see all around the internet, its our todays youth
Ah, I thought the world was going ahead, evolution, but each day I see its going BACKWARDS.
Do you recognize my voice? -

I called the character being played a nagging bitch. I did not refer to the actress or the OP as a bitch.
I have respect, but I also have an opinion. I respect OP's opinion, but I still have my own. You are showing less respect than I by bashing my opinion. I stated I disagreed with her opinion, but I didn't stoop to calling people idiots who didn't share mine.
Disliking a character in a movie in no way reflects ones level of respect, education or chivalry towards women.
I'm nearly 30 myself so 'today's youth' has nothing to do with my OPINION of a fictional character. -

Correction:
The character really wasn't a nagging bitch, she served the "rational mind" aspect.
Burt, the town is empty, let's keep on driving. Burt, there's a dead guy here, let's keep on driving. Burt there's murderous children in there let's get the hell out of here!!! Burt, I've been killed by pagen children and now they'll get you bet you wish you had listened to me now.
Logical Mind is ALWAYS that "nagging" part; (and honestly, the movie began with her being BORED. Like anyone would be on a long road trip).
Burt is the classic "testosterone" character, ignoring all rational thought and charging forward to his inevitable destruction. Given that if Burt had even ONCE listened to Vicki and simply Drove Away, both of them would still be alive; her "nagging" seems justified.
Now, take a moment and reverse the roles. Vicki is now the "Let's have an adventure Burt. No Burt, I wanna go inside the church, you can wait in the car so some kids can kill you at a dramatic moment."
People just have a low level of respect for women (even women themselves) and hence, even though Burt was extremely emotionally detached, cared more about his adventure than Vicki, and got them both killed focus on the WOMAN. -

We must have watched different movies, because noone hated her for being rational, they hated her for being a nagging bitch.
There is no subliminal characterization taking place here, and no lack of respect for a particular gender either.
If I go into a garden and need a rake, do I just say "bring the tool" or do I say "bring the rake"? Both would be correct but 1 is more applicable. Just because she AT TIMES is the voice of reason doesn't change anything. a rake is a rake and a nagging bitch is a nagging bitch no matter if it is trying to serve more purpose or not. -

Vicki wanted to dump the body, leave evidence behind, and go on without acknowledging what had happened. Burt wanted to find someone to report the incident to and to present the evidence to.
Enough nagging and you eventually get tuned out - which is what ended up happening to Vicki. Something like the boy who cried wolf.
And my daughter called Vicki a bitch within the first five minutes. -

You are a rare man indeed. In intelligent observation on an IMDB thread. Kudos for attempting to bring a little enlightenment to the conversation.
I had a much longer rant here but decided to delete it after reading the very last remark at the end of this thread. This "fluff-person" has decided to share with us his knowledge that we can thank the Black culture specifically Black Rap and Hip-Hop for saturating our society with the word.
I decided to Google the origins of the current popular use of the topic of our discussion and this is what I found and thought some of you might enjoy reading it. The author of the essay is Clare Bayley who wrote it for a class on "Feminist Political Thought" at MIT. Please don't let the course title keep you from reading her paper.

It's entirely possible that I am missing the point of your message. -

Respect must be earned. It isn't automatically owed simply because you have a vagina.
There are 8.2 billion people in the world. 8.19 billion of them have never heard of and don't give a fuck about Charlie Kirk. Get over it. -

Why bring Vicki's race into it at all?
I might bring it up to illustrate the point that the same people who whine about "whitewashing" seem to have no problem with "blackfacing."

She was a total BITCH. I was waiting for her to be slapped. She was a crazy BITCH.
As a female I approve the use of this word in referring to her
