So DC has officially decided they can't do a movie without Batman?

So what? Some people are not interested in characters they have never heard of. Only if the characters they have heard of and love works with characters they have never heard of, they will want to see more of that character.

Iron Man is from Marvel. If you're referring to the MCU, they have plenty of movies w/o Tony Stark: Thor 1&2, Cap 1&2, Guardians, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and so on. Not to mention Sony's five Spider-Man films and Fox's X-Men franchise.
More importantly, in the ones where he's present, he was actually critical to the plot w/ the exception of a very quick cameo at the end of The Incredible Hulk. Meanwhile, the cover of this movie has Batman front and center while the writing basically treats him as a sidekick to the magic users. Even Bat-fans would be disappointed by this flick. -

I agree that batman is a huge selling point in these movies, but it wasn't like the movie was bad with him in it. He was only a minor supporting character with significantly fewer lines than the rest of the cast, and I thought the few moments he did speak (boo, random grunts after witnessing crazy magic) were pretty hilarious. It was like he was just a passenger in this crazy magic roller coaster.
Plus, he had a somewhat semi-sentimental stake in it. He did witness that lady try to kill her baby and then herself because of the magic brainwashing, so him tagging along isn't entirely ridiculous. -

Forcing is a bit of an exaggeration.
They needed the tie to the JL. Based on that alone, it was either Superman or Batman. And Superman and magic don't mix.
Also, Batman was in the original comic series this was based on.
Someone else said it should have been Doctor Fate A few problems with that.
One, Fate's helmet can be seen on one of Constantine's shelves when he's enchanting the needle to seek out Faust.
Two, Fate, while wearing the helmet of Nabu, is a GOD. There would have been zero drama in the story with him along as he could have simply destroyed Destiny by himself with no need of anyone else's aid.

Giving this movie the title of Justice League is ridiculous.
There's more Justice League in the Lego Batman movie.
And Batman felt like a spectator here.
On the other hand I wouldn't have watched it if there wasn't Batman in it. I can't stand the magic and Gods part of DC.
Although it was better than any of the Batman movies that featured Damian ^^

There's more Justice League in the Lego Batman movie.
The comics title that this is based on is
Justice League Dark
, bringing together a number of DC's occult-based heroes as their own team. Many viewers have found it refreshing to see Batman take a smaller role.

He was in almost every scene, standing around.
It felt like
"One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?"
Will Constantine and Zatanna join the League?

You mean JL 2016 comics?
I'm still busy with the New 52 era.
And good for Constantine and good for the League. They're better off without each other.

Heck, I'm going back to the 1970s for the beginning of Zatanna's history in the Justice League. She joined the League during Gerry Conway's run in
Justice League of America
#161 (December 1978). Zatanna also seems to be a member of the JLU in the animated series
Justice League Unlimited
.
