some of those are as gum cutting as Cap n Crunch.
That's why I'll only eat them on a ceasar salad, but I'd never think of adding them to another salad. It's like eating cubes of sandpaper.

If it's an instant salad from the grocery store that already includes them or a takeout salad that includes them, I will eat them.
If I'm making my own salad at home, I normally don't use croutons. I add enough stuff to dress it up that it isn't necessary to add them.

I was re-reading this post, then I remembered that one time I had actually made croutons. But that was a long time ago. Now my curiosity is up,
and I will have to try making them again. It surprises me what one can remember, but when someone else brings a certain topic up for discussion. 🤭
